Gary Tackett and his wife, Roxann, gave their waitress at the Cracker Barrel a tip she won’t forget! The Tacketts are regulars at the restaurant, located in Brandon Missouri, and couldn’t help but notice the dilapidated vehicle their waitress, Cindi Grady drove to work ever day.
With a crunched front, plastic wrap in lieu of windows and a strap holding down the hood, Grady drove what is undeniably, a piece of junk. The Tackkets decided to give the waitress a new car to replace her Hyundai Accent.
“I was totally shocked,” said Grady. “I don’t except… I never thought in my wildest dreams that someone would ever give me a car that nice.”
While not a brand new car, it’s definitely new to Grady, who was given the keys and papers to a 2008 Ford Fusion.
Noticing her banged up ride during the summer, they contacted the owner of the restaurant. “After finding out that she’s a good employee, and that she has a disabled son, we thought, ‘Okay, we can help her.”
“You’ve got to be kidding me!” She cried out as they handed her the keys on video, which was filmed and posted to YouTube by the couple’s daughter.
Not only was she given a new car, her insurance agent waived the fees to change vehicles to help her get on the road. Just in time for Christmas.
“This was the nicest gift I have ever gotten and from barely strangers. I’m still shell shocked.”
